Residential Programme

If you and your GP decide that you need inpatient residential care, it will involve the following process.

Some people may need a short period of detoxification (detox) from alcohol and / or drugs. If you need this, it is clinically supervised in a supportive environment.

Once this phase is completed, you will enter the next phase of treatment where you will be assigned an addiction counsellor. Your addition counsellor will provide counselling through the early stages of rehabilitation and help you to cope with life without alcohol and / or drugs.

The residential programme also includes participation in a structured group programme that includes education, support, skills training and motivation groups which will equip to manage the challenges of recovery from addiction.

The inpatient residential programme typically lasts 4 weeks. Once this is completed, treatment and support continues as a day patient in what is called the Step Down Programme.
