St. Patrick’s Support & Information Service

If you are experiencing a mental health difficulty or worried about a friend or relative, please make contact with our Support and Information service. We are here to advise you of your best options and to give that assurance you need. This service is staffed by experienced mental health nurses 9-5 Monday to Friday with an answering and call-back facility outside hours. The number of the Support & Information service is 01 249 3333, or if you would like to email your query to info@stpatsmail.com we will endeavour to get back to you within these hours.

If in crisis the following options are available:

G.P

Most people are treated by their GP; if more support or specific therapy is required your GP should have the Information to refer you onto the appropriate services. You can contact your local GP, listed under ‘General Practitioners’ in the Golden Pages, or you can use the ICGP find a GP service.

Accident and Emergency

Go to, or contact, the Accident and Emergency Department of your nearest general hospital if you need help, or are feeling suicidal and can’t get through to a help line. There you can be seen by a psychiatric liaison team who will assess you and help you through the crisis.

Emergency services can be contacted at any time by dialling 999 or 112 in Republic of Ireland or 112 in the rest of Europe.
